Street, Shettleston, Glasgow. At date of death a soldier serving with
the 4th Battalion Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders stationed at Alnwick
as a Motor Cycle Dispatch Rider, L/cpl. No. 2927510. The cause of
death, shock and injuries sustained by the deceased whilst riding a
military motor cycle on the highway (Little Mill to Craster Road) at
Craster Pillars Cross Roads, Craster on 18/10/42. Where he collided
with an Army truck driven by 2983138 Private Joseph Hutton.(Pte. Hutton would be killed whilst serving with 2nd battalion Queens Own Cameron Highlanders in Italy, 1945) | ![]() |
